Job Description
Your role will include supporting and maintaining Linux platforms across Asia-Pacific, acting as the escalation point for incidents and guiding deployment of new services.
- Administer Red Hat Enterprise Linux: installation, patching, upgrades, services (HTTP, NFS, LDAP, cron, etc.)
- Automate baseline installs and updates manage services at boot-level, networking, users/groups, disk volumes (LVM, dmmultipath), SELinux/PAM
- Monitor, tune, backup, and proactively fix performance issues
- Create and run Shell/perl/awk scripts for automation and troubleshooting
- Collaborate with peer teams and infrastructure stakeholders across business units
- Provide level3 support for major incidents, and participate in rollout of new services
Requirement:
- 2+ years hands-on experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) in enterprise environments
- Strong knowledge of Linux installation, patching, upgrades, and system services (HTTP, NFS, LDAP, cron)
- Experience with automation and scripting (Shell Perl/Awk a plus)
- Solid understanding of systemd, networking, users/groups, LVM, dm-multipath, SELinux, and PAM
- Experience in monitoring, performance tuning, backup, and proactive troubleshooting
- Ability to provide Level 3 / escalation support and participate in rollout of new services
- Strong collaboration skills across infrastructure and application teams
- RHCSA required RHCE preferred
