Responsibilities
We are looking for a driven and experienced System Engineer to be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and scalability of both on-premises and cloud infrastructure while driving automation and innovation across system operations.
- Provision, configure, and maintain systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure across on-prem and cloud environments
- Manage deployment and lifecycle of virtual machines, storage, and databases on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Implement security policies, manage user access, monitor threats, and ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational standards
- Proactively monitor and optimize system performance and resource utilization identify and resolve technical issues
- Automate routine system and infrastructure tasks
- Deploy and upgrade application software and reports participate in planning and change management
- Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to support system integration and cloud-based deployments
- Contribute to disaster recovery planning and execution, including dry runs and real-time failover scenarios
- Manage vendor relationships and participate in incident reporting and resolution
- Identify cost optimization opportunities across infrastructure footprint.
Requirements
- Tertiary education in information technology
- At least 5 years of relevant working experience, particularly with knowledge of cloud security best practices
- Hands-on experience in Windows, Linux, AIX operating systems
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms
- Familiarity with middleware, data warehouses, and data integration tools
- Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code tools, as well as scripting skills in Python, PowerShell or Bash
- Good team player and ability to work independently.
