Key Requirements and Responsibilities
- Degree or Diploma in Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, Network Engineering, or related field.
- Experience in deploying and maintaining CCTV and VMS (Video Management System) servers, storage, and networking infrastructure.
- Proficient in configuring IP cameras and VMS platforms like Milestone or Genetec.
- Skilled in managing network devices such as switches, firewalls, and routers.
- Hands-on experience with network equipment from vendors like Cisco, HPE, and Juniper.
- Strong understanding of IP networking concepts, including VLANs, routing, IGMP multicast, and QoS.
- Knowledge and practical experience in cybersecurity controls firewalls, ACLs, encryption, access control, network segmentation, device hardening, and secure protocols.
- Ability to troubleshoot video streaming, connectivity, and system performance issues effectively.
- Experienced in performing system and network monitoring (bandwidth, logs, alerts).
- Comfortable with firmware updates, patching, and compliance checks.
- Strong communication and documentation skills to support users and operational teams.
