Responsibilities
Endpoint Security Monitoring & Maintenance
- Monitor endpoint protection platforms including Trellix ENS, IVX, and ATD to ensure optimal performance, threat detection, and consistent policy enforcement across devices.
- Perform routine checks on agent health, DAT updates, and policy compliance escalate critical or complex security incidents for deeper analysis.
Threat Investigation & Basic Troubleshooting
- Assist in investigating and troubleshooting endpoint protection issues such as detection anomalies, false positives, DAT update failures, or agent communication errors.
- Support incident triage by reviewing threat logs, quarantine events, and device alerts document resolutions and contribute to the team's knowledge base.
User Support & Incident Handling
- Provide frontline support for IT operations teams facing endpoint protection or malware related issues.
- Handle alerts and incidents following established SOPs, escalating to Tier 2/3 or SOC for advanced investigation when necessary.
Endpoint Administration & Policy Management
- Assist in administering endpoint protection policies across Windows and Linux environments, including real-time scanning, firewall rules, and threat prevention settings.
- Support deployment of patches, signature updates, and configuration changes to maintain compliance and protection baselines.
Documentation & Continuous Improvement
- Create and update documentation on standard operating procedures, troubleshooting steps, and known issues related to endpoint protection.
- Identify recurring problems and propose enhancements or process improvements to strengthen endpoint defence and operational efficiency.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in endpoint security, cybersecurity operations, or IT security administration.
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Strong experience with endpoint protection platforms, including Trellix ENS, IVX, and ATD.
- Hands-on experience with EDR solutions - VMware Carbon Black.
- Solid experience in Windows Server administration.
- Possession of CISSP certification or an equivalent cybersecurity certification.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in endpoint security environments.
- Experience handling security incidents, threat investigations, and endpoint protection alerts in accordance with established incident management procedures.
