The System & Cloud Solution Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing scalable, secure, and cost-effective IT systems across on-premises and cloud environments. This role bridges business requirements with technical solutions, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and cloud best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Solution Architecture & Design
- Design end-to-end system and cloud architectures (hybrid, multi-cloud)
- Translate business needs into technical solutions and architecture diagrams
- Define integration patterns, APIs, and data flows
Cloud Strategy & Implementation
- Architect solutions on platforms like Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Lead cloud migration and modernization initiatives
- Optimize cloud usage for cost, performance, and scalability
Security & Compliance
- Ensure architectures meet security standards and governance policies
- Implement identity, access management, and data protection strategies
- Align with compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO, SOC2)
Infrastructure & Systems
- Design compute, storage, networking, and disaster recovery solutions
- Support both on-premises and cloud infrastructure
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work with business teams, developers, DevOps, and vendors
- Provide technical leadership and guidance
- Present solutions to stakeholders and leadership
DevOps & Automation
- Promote CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Use tools like Terraform, Kubernetes, and Docker
- Enable automation and monitoring strategies
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
Experience
- 5-10+ years in IT infrastructure / cloud engineering
- Proven experience in solution architecture
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of:Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)Networking (VPC, VPN, load balancing)OS (Linux/Windows)
