System Analyst (SAP ERP)

The Information Technology team plays a critical role in driving these initiatives and works closely with business stakeholders to identify opportunities where technology and AI-enabled solutions can create measurable value.

Position Overview

The System Analyst will be responsible for supporting, enhancing, and optimising the organisation's SAP ERP environment and related business applications. The role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams to deliver solutions that support operational and strategic objectives.

The successful candidate will serve as a bridge between business and technology teams, ensuring business requirements are translated into effective system solutions while contributing to ongoing transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Solution Design

• Gather, analyse, and document business requirements from stakeholders across various functions.
• Conduct business process reviews and identify opportunities for process improvements and system optimisation.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications and solution designs.
• Facilitate discussions between business users, vendors, and technical teams to ensure successful solution delivery.
• Assess the impact of system changes and recommend practical solutions aligned with business objectives.

SAP ERP Application Support

• Provide functional support and maintenance for SAP ERP and related enterprise applications.
• Manage incidents, service requests, enhancement requests, and system issues.
• Support system configuration, testing, deployment, and post-implementation activities.
• Collaborate with external vendors and support partners to resolve application-related issues.
• Ensure business applications operate efficiently and meet operational requirements.

Project Delivery & Change Management

• Participate in ERP implementation, enhancement, migration, and upgrade projects.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), integration testing, and deployment activities.
• Assist in project planning, stakeholder communication, and change management activities.
• Ensure project deliverables are completed according to agreed timelines and quality standards.

Digital Transformation & AI Initiatives

• Support digital transformation initiatives focused on process optimisation, automation, and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities where AI-enabled solutions and emerging technologies can improve business outcomes.
• Participate in initiatives involving data governance, business analytics, workflow automation, and intelligent process improvements.
• Contribute to the evaluation and adoption of innovative technologies that support the organisation's strategic roadmap.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices relating to ERP, business systems, automation, and AI technologies.

Documentation & Governance

• Develop and maintain business process documentation, functional specifications, test scripts, and user manuals.
• Ensure system documentation remains accurate and up-to-date.
• Support compliance with internal IT governance, security policies, and audit requirements.
• Promote data integrity and system reliability across supported applications.

Requirements

• Degree, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a System Analyst, ERP Analyst, Functional Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or similar role.
• Demonstrated experience supporting SAP ERP applications in a business environment.
• Strong understanding of ERP business processes within areas such as Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Inventory, Manufacturing, Sales, or Operations.
• Experience in requirements gathering, process mapping, solution design, testing, and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience participating in ERP implementation, migration, or transformation projects.
• Exposure to SAP integration, reporting, analytics, or business intelligence solutions.
• Familiarity with automation tools, data platforms, or AI-related initiatives.
• SAP certification or relevant ERP certifications would be advantageous.
