System Analyst (Payments and Remittances)

Responsibilities

. Perform technical analysis on a Regional Payment Solutions Project, understanding the system architecture, functional and non-functional requirements, and end-to-end system flows.

. Work closely with cross-functional teams on solution design, functional design, and technical design throughout project initiation, implementation, and post-implementation support.

. Propose alternative solutions to enhance system performance and meet business requirements while aligning with industry best practices.

. Develop and review technical specifications and supporting design documentation to ensure solutions meet functional requirements.

. Manage vendors and facilitate quality reviews, provide recommendations, and ensure deliverables meet project standards.

. Review test strategies and test plans, including Unit Testing, System Testing, SIT, and UAT.

. Support testing during SIT, UAT, and post-implementation.

. Analyze existing SDLC processes and recommend continuous improvements through

. regular reporting to the Project Manager and relevant stakeholders.

Requirements

. Bachelor/Master's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering or related field

. At least 6 - 7 years of experience in system and/or technical analysis in the banking industry.

. Hands-on experience in functional specification, and technical design specification preparation.

. Experience in Full-Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) cycle, with medium to large- scale live system implementation.

. Strong verbal and writing skills ability to thoroughly understand product specifications, and ability to produce clear, concise documentation.

. Strong vendor management.

. Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

. Experience in project planning and managing small-scale teams will be preferred.

Required Skills & Experience

. Knowledge of Cross-Border Payments and Reporting Plus (CBPR+) standards and payment messaging.

. Familiarity with MEPS+ (MAS Electronic Payment System) and domestic payment processing.

. Understanding of SWIFT MT and ISO 20022 MX message formats, including message mapping, migration, and payment flows.

. Experience in payment systems, financial messaging, or banking transformation projects related to cross-border and domestic payments.

. Exposure to regulatory and compliance requirements associated with payment messaging standards and financial institutions.

Preferred Skills & Experience

. Experience and knowledge in Java, Spring Framework, SpringBoot, Java libraries, and Oracle DB.
