Job Summary
The system administrator collaborates with IT and other teams to maintain and enhance the security, performance, and scalability of IT infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Maintain server and network infrastructure to ensure high availability, optimal performance, and robust security across all systems
- Configure and set up hardware including workstations, network devices, and servers to support operational needs
- Perform routine system maintenance, apply updates, and manage backups to ensure system reliability and data integrity
- Evaluate and implement new technologies to optimize existing IT processes and infrastructure
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Computer Engineering or a related field
- Knowledge of Linux operating systems and network fundamentals to support system administration tasks
- Familiar with scripting languages such as Bash or Python to automate and streamline IT operations
- Familiar with infrastructure monitoring tools to track system health and performance
- Demonstrated eagerness to learn and adapt to emerging technologies
