Job Description

Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)

Must-Have**

  • Exchange administrators should have a blend of technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and soft skills like communication and adaptability.
  • Deep understanding of Exchange Server architecture, features, and functionalities, including on-premises and cloud-based solutions (Exchange Online)
  • Proficiency in PowerShell for automating tasks, troubleshooting, and managing Exchange environments
  • Familiarity with email protocols like SMTP, IMAP, and POP3
  • Ability to identify, diagnose, and resolve complex email-related issues and performance problems
  • Must have experience supporting MS applications.
  • Multitasking abilities (Able to work on multiple machines at a time)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by providing the best solutions to their queries.
  • Help create technical documentation and manuals.
  • Vendor coordination.

Good-to-Have

  • Expert Knowledge on Messaging Architecture, Microsoft Exchange Server
  • Knowledge of mailbox features, such as mailbox sharing policies, Send as and Send on behalf delegates, and shared mailboxes
  • Good Knowledge on EAC and Entra portal
  • Understanding and configuring security features like anti-spam protection, malware filters, and data loss prevention (DLP) policies is crucial for protecting against email-based threats.

Understanding how to monitor the Exchange environment and generate reports
