Job Summary
The Swimming Coach delivers high-quality swimming programmes following the swim school's in-house curriculum, teaching various age groups and skill levels while motivating and inspiring confidence in swimmers.
Responsibilities
- Deliver swimming programmes for babies, preschool, Learn to Swim, stroke development, and adult learners according to the swim school's curriculum
- Adapt teaching methods to differentiate instruction for diverse swimmer abilities and learning needs
- Communicate clearly and effectively with children and adults to ensure understanding and engagement
- Motivate and inspire swimmers to build confidence and improve swimming skills
- Organize, develop, and implement swimming classes professionally and punctually
- Maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude towards swimming to foster a supportive learning environment
- Demonstrate perseverance and patience when coaching swimmers of varying skill levels
- Work flexibly during weekdays, evenings, and weekends as required
Required competencies and certifications
- Hold NROC + Swim Safer 2.0 certifications to ensure safe and effective swimming instruction
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years relevant teaching experience is an advantage
- Fluency in English to facilitate clear communication with swimmers and parents
