Job Summary

One of our clients is seeking a Swedish Language Expert to support multilingual communication and content quality initiatives. In this role, you will use your linguistic expertise to ensure Swedish-language content is accurate, culturally appropriate, and consistent across various materials. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain high language standards and support localization efforts for Swedish-speaking audiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate, adapt, and localize content between English and Swedish while maintaining accuracy and cultural relevance.
  • Review, edit, and proofread Swedish-language materials to ensure clarity, consistency, and quality.
  • Support the development and localization of communication materials designed for Swedish audiences.
  • Collaborate with project managers, content teams, and subject matter experts to deliver high-quality language solutions.
  • Provide linguistic insights and recommendations to improve content quality and cultural alignment.
  • Assist in resolving language-related queries and maintaining consistent terminology usage.
  • Stay informed about Swedish language trends, usage updates, and cultural nuances to maintain content relevance.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Native or near-native proficiency in Swedish with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in translation, localization, linguistic review, or similar language-focused roles.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain linguistic accuracy and tone.
  • Proficiency in applying Swedish language conventions across different types of content.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote and collaborative environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining high language quality and cultural authenticity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Linguistics, Translation, Swedish Language, or a related field.
  • Experience working with international or multicultural teams.
  • Familiarity with CAT tools or language quality assurance platforms.
