Job Description
The role is responsible for
end‑to‑end business program management of
a Group Retail strategic program, ensuring successful delivery of strategic initiatives that enhance customer insights, RM productivity, and business outcomes. The incumbent will drive alignment across business, technology, and operations, with full accountability for stakeholder management, requirements definition, delivery governance, and business readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary business lead for the strategic program, ensuring alignment across Business Units, Technology, Operations, Risk, and other key stakeholders.
- Provide regular program updates, highlight risks and dependencies, and escalate issues where required to Program Sponsors and Transformation leadership.
- Facilitate decision‑making forums to ensure timely resolution of scope, priority, and resourcing matters.
- Build strong partnerships with senior stakeholders to ensure business objectives are clearly understood and delivered.
- Requirements Management
- Lead Business Unit Specialists to define and validate business scope and requirements, ensuring alignment with business strategy and user needs.
- Partner closely with Technology & Operations Program Managers and teams to translate business requirements into feasible solutions.
- Support development of investment proposals, including scope definition, benefits articulation, and high‑level delivery plans for approval.
- Ensure requirements are prioritised, clearly documented, and traceable through to delivery.
- Project Execution & Governance
- Drive timely and high‑quality delivery of strategic initiatives in collaboration with the Technology & Operations Program Manager and delivery teams.
- Establish and oversee program governance, including milestone tracking, risk and issue management, and dependency management.
- Govern business readiness activities, including user engagement, change management, training, and adoption planning.
- Ensure delivered solutions meet agreed business outcomes, regulatory expectations (where applicable), and operational standards.
Additional Responsibilities
- Track and report on program progress, benefits realisation, and post‑implementation outcomes.
- Ensure consistency with enterprise program management standards and transformation frameworks.
- Support continuous improvement of business program management practices across the portfolio.
Key Requirements
Experience & Skills
- Proven experience in end‑to‑end business program or project management within a financial services or large enterprise environment.
- Strong experience managing enterprise platforms or tools (e.g. customer platforms, RM enablement tools, CRM, analytics or similar).
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex, multi‑stakeholder initiatives across Business, Technology, and Operations.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and governance skills, with experience engaging senior leadership.
- Solid understanding of business requirements definition, solutioning, and delivery lifecycle.
