The Material and Circularity Analyst supports the implementation of the company's circular economy strategy through product content claim certifications, analyzing the company's material purchases, maintaining and updating the company's sustainable fiber framework, assessing supply chain environmental impacts, and develop supply chain circular economy action plans.
Key Accountabilities
- Fulfill group certificate coordinator for the company's content claim certifications.
- Ensure the content claim certification SOP is up-to-date with latest criteria.
- Provide internal assessment of factories for compliance with each standard.
- Provide content claim certification training and support for internal stakeholder.
- Enable communication within BUs on content claim certification requirements and BUs have established clear roles and responsibilities.
- Maintain mass balance/volume reconciliation records for company and for each factory, and identify solutions to optimize volume reconciliation process.
- Support BUs in applying for transaction certificates and standard logo use.
- Analyze the company's material purchases, benchmark uptake of sustainable fibers, and identify opportunities for switching to more sustainable fibers.
- Manage and update the company's sustainable fiber framework and provide training, and help make connections to sustainable fiber sources.
- Respond to external reporting platforms as necessary.
- Support calculating the scope 3 GHG emissions from materials.
- Assess our supply chain environmental impacts, help close the data gap in use of primary data and secondary data and identify impact reduction opportunities.
- Support strategic initiatives to enhance material recyclability, forge network partnerships, benchmark company's circularity progress, and conceptualize cradle-to-cradle products.
Requirements
- Required tertiary education with strong preference for tertiary education related to environmental sustainability (i.e. environmental science, environmental policy, environmental management, sustainable business, etc.)
- 2-5 years of relevant work experience on textile materials, sustainable materials, supply chain impact analysis, and/or product certifications
- Positive, high energy individual, who thrives on building new processes and influencing others
- Good analytical skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively
- Strong project management, organizational and presentation skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Open to candidates currently based in Singapore, Hong Kong, Vietnam, or Thailand
