Southland Rubber group is an approved supplier of natural rubber to the top tire manufacturers of the world according to their strict quality requirements.
We are looking for a dynamic and driven Sustainability Manager/Specialist to lead sustainability strategy execution, internal capability development, and reporting compliance. This role will play a key part in driving ESG transformation, managing sustainability audits, and aligning with global frameworks such as GPSNR, GRI, EUDR, and circular economy principles.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sustainability Strategy & Governance
- Translate group sustainability roadmap into execution plans covering Environmental, Social, and Economic pillars.
- Support and guide the implementation of group-wide sustainability projects and initiatives.
2. Reporting & Disclosure
- Support the preparation of industry sustainability assessments and responses.
3. Audit, Risk & Assurance
- Monitor risk exposure and ensure compliance with industry/international sustainability standards.
4. Cross-functional Engagement
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to deliver impactful ESG programs and KPI alignment.
- Lead the communication of sustainability mission across group factory-teams and suppliers.
Qualifications
1. Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Sustainability, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in sustainability or ESG within a manufacturing/industrial environment.
2. Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of sustainability frameworks, standards, and tools (e.g., GRI, SDGs, ISO 14001, 45001, 14064, 14067, GPSNR, EUDR, etc.)
- Experience in implementing sustainability programs in a factory or operations context.
- Familiarity with circular economy, energy audits, material efficiency, and performance tracking tools.
3. Communication & Leadership
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (and any Asean language if able).
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills across internal/external parties.
- Able to write clearly and effectively on technical subjects for reports, presentations, and public communications.
4. Behavioral Competencies
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and work independently under pressure.
- Strong teamwork attitude.
- Willingness to travel and contribute to regional/international projects when required.
