Sustainability Manager (ESG)

About the Role

We are seeking a driven and experienced Sustainability Manager to lead and implement Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategies across operations. This role will focus on ensuring compliance with international standards, strengthening sustainability practices, and driving continuous improvement across environmental and social performance.

Job Summary:

• Basic Salary: $6500 - $8000

• Working hours: Monday - Friday 9am - 6pm Alternate Sat 9am - 1pm (Probation period)

• Working Location: Somerset

• AWS + Variable Bonus

Job Responsibilities:

1. ESG Strategy & Governance

• Develop and implement ESG strategies, policies, and management systems

• Ensure alignment with international ESG standards and frameworks

• Advise management on ESG risks, compliance, and opportunities

• Integrate ESG considerations into business operations and decision-making

2. Environmental Management

• Lead carbon accounting and environmental performance tracking

• Monitor KPIs related to energy, water, waste, and emissions

• Support implementation of environmental management plans and initiatives

• Conduct climate risk and sustainability assessments

3. Social Responsibility & Compliance

• Oversee labour standards, workplace safety, and employee welfare initiatives

• Support community engagement and responsible sourcing practices

• Ensure compliance with human rights and social governance frameworks

4. ESG Reporting & Data Management

• Prepare ESG reports for stakeholders, including investors and partners

• Ensure alignment with recognised reporting frameworks (e.g. GRI, TCFD)

• Manage ESG data systems and reporting processes

• Support external ESG assessments and audits

5. Risk Management & Audits

• Conduct ESG due diligence and risk assessments

• Manage corrective action plans and audit processes

• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external requirements

6. Stakeholder Engagement & Training

• Provide ESG training and guidance to internal teams

• Engage with stakeholders including auditors, partners, and consultants

• Drive cross-functional ESG initiatives across regions

7. Team Leadership

• Mentor and guide junior team members

• Support capability building and knowledge sharing within the team

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Management, Engineering, Social Sciences, or related field

Minimum 4-6 years of relevant experience in ESG, sustainability, or environmental/social risk management

Familiarity with ESG frameworks such as GRI, TCFD, or similar

Strong analytical, reporting, and data management skills

Good stakeholder management and communication skills

Ability to work independently and across multiple functions
