Job Description

Examples of responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

  • Coordinate the collection, consolidation, and verification of sustainability data from global facilities for the Annual Group Sustainability Report, ensuring accuracy and alignment with international reporting standards.
  • Assist in analysing Group and facility-level sustainability metrics to identify challenges, opportunities, and actionable insights that drive continuous progress.
  • Assist in driving continuous improvement in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions (Scope 1, 2 and 3) measurement, tracking, and reporting, ensuring alignment with international standards and customer expectations.
  • Assist in managing and optimizing responses for external sustainability ratings/assessments, specifically CDP and EcoVadis.
  • Work with sustainability consultants and various stakeholders to advance the decarbonisation journey of UTAC Group.
  • Support the enhancement of emission accounting practices for customer-specific products and processes to meet tailored reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to integrate sustainability standards and criteria into corporate procedures and specifications.
  • Work closely with corporate communications to highlight sustainability efforts and engage both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries regarding corporate sustainability performance and compliance.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or above in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, Business Management, or a closely related discipline.
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience in the semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing industry. (Note: High-potential fresh graduates with relevant degrees and a demonstrated passion for sustainability will be considered.)
  • Experience in greenhouse gas (GHG) emission accounting (Scope 1, 2, and 3), ESG consulting, corporate sustainability reporting, or stakeholder collaboration.
  • Familiarity with international reporting frameworks (GRI, TCFD, IFRS S1&S2), CDP questionnaires, and EcoVadis assessment platform is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) Code of Conduct and RBA Validated Assessment Program (VAP) is preferred.
  • Exceptional time management and prioritization abilities to handle multiple projects and meet strict deadlines.
  • Advanced data analysis capabilities with high proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of global sustainability trends, regulatory landscapes, and reporting frameworks (e.g., GRI, TCFD, IFRS S1&S2).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Fluent in both English and Mandarin (written and verbal) to facilitate cross-regional collaboration.
