As a Sustainability Consultant, you will be at the forefront of our clients missionBetter business, better worldproviding strategic guidance and expertise to a diverse global client base. You will help businesses understand their sustainability impact, risks, and opportunities, comply with regulations, and develop strategies for sustainable growth. This role requires a proven track record in sustainability and assurance, preferably in a professional services environment.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Managing international consultancy projects in sustainability reporting, assurance and verification, GHG emissions, climate reporting, science-based targets, and sustainability assessments and ratings.
- Working closely with clients to improve their sustainability management systems, leveraging international standards and methodologies.
- Developing, implementing, and managing project plans to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
- Designing and delivering sustainability training, workshops, and webinars.
- Actively supporting business development initiatives.
- Consistently exceeding client expectations.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned as required.
Required skills and qualifications
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Sustainability, Engineering, or a relevant field.
- Proven expertise in one or more of the following areas: sustainability reporting, assurance, GHG accounting, climate risk assessment and reporting, human rights due diligence, sustainable procurement, and sustainability ratings (CDP, EcoVadis, Sustainalytics, S&P Global CSA, etc.).
- At least 5 years of Consulting experience in sustainability-related management system certifications and audits (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 14064, ISO 45001, ISO 27001, ISO 20400, ISO 30415, SA8000)
- Fluency in written and spoken English is required. Proficiency in additional European or Asian languages is highly desirable for effective client communication.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to coordinate projects across multiple time zones.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
- Ability to deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced, international, multicultural environment with multiple deadlines.
- Positive attitude, energetic, and resourceful with an ability to work independently.
- Tech-savvy, with advanced proficiency in MS Office and other data management tools.
