Job Description

Job Title: Sushi & Teppanyaki Chef de Partie (Japanese Cuisine Specialist)
Salary: $38,000 - $62,000 per year + Benefits

What You'll Actually Do Here

  • Own Your Station: You'll be responsible for one of our core sections (Sushi, Grill, or Tempura). We expect you to prep it, work it, and clean it with zero drama.

  • Cook with Precision: Focus on the details that matter, knife work, timing, and presentation. We want authentic flavors and dishes that look as good as they taste.

  • Keep a Tight Ship: Maintain high standards for food safety and organization. In our kitchen, clean as you go isn't just a saying it's how we operate.

  • Support the Flow: Work closely with the Sous and Head Chef to manage inventory and prep lists. Help make sure we're ready for service before the rush hits.

  • Be a Quiet Leader: During service, stay calm and focused. Help guide the newer cooks on the line when things get busy, showing them the ropes through your actions.

Who You Are

  • You have at least 2 years of hands-on experience in a professional kitchen.

  • You're either experienced in Japanese techniques or you're the kind of cook who obsesses over getting them right.

  • You can handle a full-time schedule, including weekends and evenings. (That's just the reality of this business.)

  • You're a team player. You don't crack under pressure you just get the work done.
