Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Surface Treatment House Plant Manager to oversee daily coating operations and ensure products meet quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge in powder coating or painting systems and be capable of leading by example on the production floor.
Key Responsibilities
1. Surface Preparation
- Clean, sand, and prepare metal surfaces prior to coating.
- Apply putty, filler, or primer to achieve a smooth finish.
- Ensure all surfaces are properly masked and protected before painting.
2. Painting & Coating
- Set up, operate, and maintain powder coating and spray-painting equipment.
- Apply primer and finishing coats evenly, maintaining consistent color and thickness.
- Mix and match paint colors accurately according to specifications or color codes.
- Work within the coating booth to perform coating operations.
3. Finishing & Quality Control
- Inspect coated items for color accuracy, smoothness, and uniform coverage.
- Perform touch-ups or rework to meet company quality standards.
- Ensure all output meets customer and internal specifications.
4. Equipment & Maintenance
- Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of spray guns, coating machines, and related tools.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized paint booth and work area.
- Report any equipment malfunction or maintenance requirements promptly.
5. Safety & Compliance
- Follow all workplace safety procedures, including proper use of PPE.
- Handle paints, chemicals, and thinners safely in accordance with MSDS guidelines.
- Dispose of waste materials responsibly and ensure compliance with environmental standards.
Requirements:
- Familiarity with powder coating or painting system setup and operation.
- Ability to distinguish and identify colors by name or code.
- Hands-on experience in industrial painting or coating preferred.
- Responsible, safety-conscious, and detail-oriented.
