Supply Chain Senior Engineer / Executive

About the Role

Our client is an established engineering solutions provider delivering turnkey EPCC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction & Commissioning) projects within the energy and industrial infrastructure sector.

They are seeking a Supply Chain Senior Engineer / Executive to support project execution and life cycle services by managing procurement and supply chain activities in a timely, cost-effective and compliant manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement and supply chain activities to support project execution

• Prepare and issue RFQs follow up with vendors to ensure timely submission of quotations

• Evaluate vendor proposals for both technical and commercial compliance

• Coordinate with Engineering teams on technical clarifications

• Work closely with Project teams to align procurement with project schedules

• Participate in supplier negotiations and finalise commercial terms and conditions

• Issue Purchase Orders and contracts in accordance with company policies

• Maintain approved vendor lists and support vendor qualification processes

• Track expediting activities, monitor production and delivery schedules

• Coordinate logistics arrangements to project sites

• Process invoices and resolve discrepancies when required

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related disciplines

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in procurement or supply chain roles

• Experience in project-based environments such as EPCC, oil & gas, energy, marine, or industrial engineering sectors is advantageous

Technical Knowledge

• Familiarity with procurement of mechanical components (e.g. valves, pipes & fittings), electrical equipment, cables, instrumentation or control systems

• Understanding of commercial evaluation, contract terms and cost optimisation

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP or equivalent) preferred

Communication Skills

• Good written and spoken English

• Ability to communicate with Mandarin-speaking vendors and stakeholders will be advantageous due to regional supplier interactions

• Adaptable in a dynamic project environment

Additional Information

• Occasional short business trips may be required depending on project needs
