Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Supply Chain Operations Director. The director will lead and oversee end-to-end supply chain functions, ensuring efficient coordination across procurement, logistics, inventory management, distribution, and operational planning. The role is responsible for optimizing supply chain performance, improving operational efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring seamless product or service delivery through strategic leadership and process excellence.

The Supply Chain Operations Director will develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies that align with organizational goals while maintaining operational continuity and service quality. Responsibilities include managing supplier relationships, overseeing transportation and warehouse operations, analyzing performance metrics, mitigating supply risks, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The role also involves leading cross-functional teams, enhancing process automation, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards.

Daily activities may include monitoring supply chain KPIs, improving forecasting accuracy, streamlining procurement cycles, managing inventory controls, and supporting long-term business scalability. The director will collaborate closely with executive leadership, operations teams, vendors, and stakeholders to strengthen supply chain resilience, improve customer satisfaction, and maximize resource utilization.

This position plays a critical role in maintaining competitive advantage through strategic supply chain innovation, operational leadership, and data-driven performance management. Success in this role requires exceptional leadership skills, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to navigate complex global or regional supply chain environments.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of supply chain management, logistics, procurement, inventory control, and operational strategy
  • Proven ability to develop and execute large-scale supply chain optimization initiatives
  • Expertise in supplier management, transportation planning, warehousing, and distribution systems
  • Strong understanding of demand forecasting, cost reduction strategies, and risk management principles
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, supply chain software, and data analytics platforms
  • Excellent leadership and team management capabilities across multiple operational functions
  • Strong analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to interpret operational data and implement measurable performance improvements
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills to manage vendors, stakeholders, and executive partnerships
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field
  • Advanced certifications such as APICS, CSCP, Six Sigma, or equivalent are advantageous
  • Ability to manage multiple high-level operational priorities while maintaining efficiency and compliance
  • Commitment to operational excellence, continuous improvement, and strategic growth
