Job Description

Our client, an US leading manufacturer of highly engineered offshore drilling and production equipment is seeking to expand its Asia Pacific operations, and wishes to recruit dynamic and resourceful candidates for the following position:

Materials & Logistics Manager (Tuas)

Job scope:

  • Effectively directing and planning the material requirements MRP under Planning department and Master Scheduler
  • Coordinate and participate in SIOP planning process, demand and material forecasting, rough capacity planning
  • Coordinate and ensure adequate material supply, raw or components, with Purchasing departments per MRP schedule
  • Coordinate and manage material arrival including Receiving Inspection with Warehouse, QC and Purchasing departments
  • Oversee all inventory processes and reporting for Raw, WIP and Finished Goods
  • Develop materials storage and delivery processes supportive of manufacturing operations.
  • Assist manufacturing with process improvement and lean initiatives.
  • Assist manufacturing management in the development of meaningful productivity and performance measurements.
  • Ensure the continuous availability of quality materials and finished components.
  • Calculate production lead times.
  • Analyze production floor status through input/output control reporting.
  • Identify current planned level of demand and create tactical production plans to meet the identified customer demand.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the various methods to establish and work with bills of material (BOMs).
  • Effectively analyze if inventories need to be maintained, raised or lowered.

This is a new role within the organization and it will be an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to build something from scratch. Hence any work experience showing evidence on that front will be viewed favorably.

Requirement:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or Engineering. MBA a plus.
  • Minimum 8 to 10 years management experience in an oilfield equipment manufacturing environment
  • Proven track record in supply chain namely planning, buying, warehousing and shipping areas.
  • Preferably from Oil & Gas manufacturing
  • Preferably with warehouse setup / startup experience
  • A go-getter & responsible person who has managed teams that produces results will be seen favorably.

Location: Tuas (Transport from/to Jurong E and Choa Chu Kang MRT)

Working hours: 8:00am to 5:15pm (Mondays to Fridays)
