Supply Chain Managers are pivotal to the dynamic development and launch of Tesla's battery cells across all products. A successful Supply Chain Manager is a leader and facilitatordriven, organized, detail-oriented, and excellent at supplier management. You thrive in ambiguity, communicate with ease at all levels, and are adept at facilitating actions and resolving conflicts both internally and with supplier partners. You lead within Tesla Supply Chain and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams. This role reports to the Supply Chain Group Manager playing a key role in shaping Tesla's future product roadmap, battery cell sourcing, and overall supply chain strategy. Tesla is a fast-moving, dynamic environment where flexibility, adaptability, and a keen interest in product design and manufacturing processes are key to success. What You'll Do
Lead readiness reviews for battery cell supply chains, ensuring factory readiness from (Man, Machine, Material, Method) and proactively resolving launchCollaborate with internal teams (engineering, SIE, factory, planning, compliance, etc.) and suppliers to drive build readinessEnsure successful mass production ramp-up for battery cells, meeting schedule, quality, yield, and continuity of supply targets while aligning supplier roadmaps with Tesla's future developments.Proactive reporting updates on supplier performance, cost reduction initiatives, and risk mitigation to cross-functional teamsOwn supplier factory performance, prioritizing continuity of supply, driving continual cost reduction and avoidance through ad hoc negotiations, should-cost models. Manage escalations with internal teams and external vendors, resolving conflicts to ensure program success, including handling diverse responsibilities in a fast-changing environment.Lead supply chain material risk management.
What You'll Bring
