This is a non-traditional Supply Chain Finance Manager role requiring a distinctive blend of finance, supply chain, industrial operations, and digital transformation expertise. The role acts as a bridge across finance, supply chain, agriculture (source), and industrial operations, with a focus on commodity risk management, capital governance, finance systems transformation, analytics, and decision support.
Responsibilities:
Commodity Risk Management
- Educate and influence senior stakeholders to embrace and support the adoption of the Commodity Risk Management Programme.
- Lead month-end close activities in relation to commodity accounting, hedge evaluation and reporting.
- Proactively partner with procurement to identify risk and opportunities for covered and uncovered commodities and establish program to mitigate inflation risk associated with Commodities (oil, metal, raw materials, paper, plastic).
- Ensure and maintain full hedge accounting compliance and application of IFRS 9.
- Perform Commodity Price Forecast, supporting with insights and analysis.
- Act as a key point of contact for commodity risk management between internal parties (procurement, corporate finance, division finance, internal audit) and external parities (external audit and consultants.).
Capital / Asset Management
- Drive CAPEX governance across source sites and commercial units in conjunction with Engineering.
- Setting up of new CAPEX forecast and management system enhancing forecast accuracy (+/- 5%).
- Periodic validation of Fixed Asset register in Source Sites.
- Adherence of accounting policies for provisions/accruals for Asset write-off.
Finance Systems & Digital Transformation
- Lead digital transformation initiatives across supply chain & procurement finance.
- Build dashboards and reporting tools from scratch using Power BI with ongoing improvements.
- Lead forecast simplification projects, including Hyperion standardization, data analytics, and visualization tools.
- Establish KPI frameworks and scorecards in supply chain/procurement finance.
- Conduct root cause analysis on ocean freight and logistics cost drivers.
Business Partnering
- Partner with functional stakeholders across source locations, procurement and operations.
- Drive adoption of systems and processes across regions.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor and/or Masters degree in at least two of the following disciplines: Finance, Engineering, Technology, or Information Technology. Masters degree is preferred.
- Relevant experience in Supply Chain Finance with exposure to agriculture and industrial operations
- Understanding of ocean freight and supply chain cost drivers
- Highly proficient in Power BI with experience building dashboards
- Proven track records in digital transformation initiatives
- Strong KPI management and root cause analysis capability
- Excellent stakeholder management and analytical skills
- Ability to travel to rural locations at least 20% of the time
