Supplier Quality Senior Manager, Asia Region
Lead and drive supplier quality strategy across Asia, ensuring strong supplier performance, risk management, and process capability. This role focuses on supplier development, quality improvement, and cross‑functional collaboration to support manufacturing, new product introduction, and operational excellence in a complex regional environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Define and execute APAC supplier quality strategy aligned with global standards and business goals.
- Establish governance frameworks, KPIs, and reporting for supplier performance management.
- Lead supplier audits, qualification, and approval processes across the region.
- Drive supplier capability improvement across machining, casting, fabrication, and electrical systems.
- Manage supplier performance through structured reviews and scorecards.
- Identify high‑risk suppliers and lead recovery and stabilisation plans.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for supplier issues.
- Support new product introduction and industrialisation with supplier readiness.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, and Operations on supplier selection and performance.
- Coach stakeholders and suppliers on quality standards and continuous improvement practices.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Strong experience in supplier quality, manufacturing quality, or supplier development.
- Proven track record in supplier audits, qualification, and performance management.
- Hands‑on experience managing supplier issues and driving corrective actions.
- Strong knowledge of quality tools such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA, 8D, and Lean Six Sigma.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes (machining, casting, welding, assembly, electrical systems).
- Experience working in industrial, engineering, or manufacturing environments.
- Strong stakeholder management and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
- Experience across multiple APAC markets is an advantage.
- Background in power generation, energy, heavy equipment, or related industries is preferred.
