As Supplier Quality Engineer at NTS Singapore, you will be responsible for ensuring supplier compliance, capability, and product quality across the supply base, with a strong focus on manufacturing and machining components. The role leads supplier qualification, audits, and corrective action management to ensure adherence to quality and engineering requirements. It also supports APQP, PPAP, and First Article Inspection activities for new product introductions and engineering changes. The SQE works closely with suppliers and internal cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and reduce quality risks across the supply chain.
Furthermore, your key responsibilities are:
Lead supplier qualification, onboarding, and part approval processes including APQP, PPAP, and First Article Inspection (FAI)
Conduct supplier audits (system, process, and product) and ensure timely closure of audit findings
Drive supplier corrective actions (SCAR) using structured problem-solving tools such as 8D and root cause analysis
Monitor, analyze, and improve supplier quality performance through metrics, scorecards, and regular reviews
Collaborate with suppliers to improve process capability, reduce defects, and enhance overall quality performance
Maintain and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements, including internal audits and documentation
Partner with engineering, supply chain, and production teams to resolve quality issues and support NPI activities
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent discipline
3–5 years of experience in manufacturing, with strong exposure to supplier quality management
Hands-on experience in supplier audits, qualification processes, and corrective action management
Strong knowledge of quality tools including SPC, FMEA, APQP, PPAP, and 8D problem solving
Experience working with machining suppliers (e.g., CNC, fabrication, precision components) is highly preferred
Solid understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, and manufacturing processes
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills with ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Occasional travel may be required to support business needs
