Supplier Quality Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct supplier audits and first article evaluations to ensure compliance with quality requirements.

• Review supplier quality data and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.

• Manage supplier quality issues by leading Corrective Action Requests (CAR), reviewing Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and verifying corrective actions using 8D and 5 Whys methodologies.

• Coordinate containment activities, non-conforming product segregation, and replacement arrangements with suppliers.

• Drive supplier capability development through regular supplier visits, process improvements, and Quality Management System (QMS) implementation.

• Support quality issue investigations related to production and work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure timely resolution.

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on supplier quality, cost reduction, and manufacturing excellence.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in training and development activities.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Supplier Quality, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, or a related field.

• Able to identify Tasks, Implement Actions, Monitor Results.

• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards is an advantage.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Able to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Willing to travel overseas (up to 40% annually) for supplier audits and quality improvement activities.
