Key Responsibilities
- Vendor Performance: Manage end-to-end supplier quality metrics, driving accountability across DPPM, Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), and SCAR lifecycles.
- Part Qualification: Lead vendor component qualifications, checking First Article Inspections (FAI) and full Production Part Approval Processes (PPAP) for new or transferred product configurations.
- Defect Containment: Drive lineside containment, structural root-cause analysis, and robust Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) for supplier-related material abnormalities.
- Supplier Auditing: Plan, coordinate, and execute technical on-site supplier audits and capability assessments to ensure vendor process controls conform to corporate guidelines.
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate closely with Supply Chain Management (SCM), Engineering, and Operations teams to maintain qualification trackers and technical documentation.
- Continuous Improvement: Provide technical guidance and training to vendors, collaborating on lineside process and quality control enhancements.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing) or a related technical field.
- Experience:At least 1+ years of dedicated experience in Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) or Manufacturing Quality Engineering.
- Core Capabilities: Expert mastery of FAI and PPAP qualification workflows, alongside structural failure analysis tools (8D, 5-Whys, and Fishbone analysis).
- Industrial Domain: Strong background handling precision machining, sheet metal fabrication, or complex electromechanical systems manufacturing.
- Systems & Auditing: Solid understanding of ISO 9001 or equivalent Quality Management Systems. Formal QMS audit assessment training or qualified Lead Auditor status is highly preferred.
- Soft Skills: Outstanding communication, sharp analytical problem-solving skills, and the cross-functional grit to manage external international supplier accounts independently.
