The Supplier Business Management Manager helps to cultivate the supplier relationship, facilitate supplier programs, develop strategic business plans and oversee their implementation through business reviews for assigned suppliers.
Responsibilities :
- Cultivates and maintains strong relationships with suppliers
- Facilitate and coordinate supplier programs, product launches, and training with sales, marketing, and Asset Management teams.
- Develop strategic business plans with suppliers and drive sales organization to achieve results.
- Coordinate and participate in business reviews at headquarters and branches as needed.
- Serves as a sales consultantto support the sales team on major opportunities, including accompanying account calls to provide direct supplier support.
- Operates as the primary point of contact for supplier-related issues.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's Degree from a University in related field and min of five years experience in related role; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous sales and electronics industry experience is preferred.
- Creative ability to contribute to product marketing ideas, strategies, brochures, and related materials.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills to engage suppliers and internal/external stakeholders.
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills to build relationships across multiple levels.
- Possesses strong analytical, problem solving and organization skills.
- Proven teamwork and collaboration skills to foster cooperation within the Product department and the broader organization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) at an intermediate level.
- Proficiency in the Japanese language is an advantage.
- Prior experience working with Japanese suppliers is highly desirable.
