Job Description

Job Summary

The Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations, guiding team members, ensuring work standards are met, and supporting the Manager to achieve department targets. This role includes coordinating tasks, monitoring performance, resolving daily issues, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

1) Team Supervision & Daily Operations

  • Supervise day-to-day activities and ensure tasks are completed on time and to required standards.

  • Allocate manpower effectively and assign duties based on workload and priorities.

  • Provide clear instructions, guidance, and support to team members during operations.

  • Monitor workflow and identify ways to improve efficiency and productivity.

2) Quality, Standards & Compliance

  • Ensure work processes follow company SOPs, safety rules, and quality standards.

  • Conduct routine checks and rectify non-compliance promptly.

  • Maintain proper documentation, checklists, and operational records as required.

3) Staff Training & Performance

  • Train new staff and coach existing staff to improve job knowledge and performance.

  • Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, discipline, and workplace conduct.

  • Provide feedback, handle minor conflicts, and escalate serious issues to the Manager/HR when required.

4) Communication & Coordination

  • Coordinate with other departments to support smooth operations.

  • Communicate updates, instructions, and changes clearly to the team.

  • Report operational issues, incidents, and improvement suggestions to the Manager.

5) Customer/Stakeholder Support (if applicable)

  • Handle enquiries and complaints professionally and follow up to closure.

  • Ensure service or output meets stakeholder expectations.

6) Reporting & Administrative Support

  • Prepare daily/weekly reports (e.g., productivity, attendance, issues, corrective actions).

  • Assist the Manager in implementing new procedures, targets, and improvement initiatives.

  • Perform any other duties assigned by management.
