The Supervisor is responsible for supervising daily housekeeping operations to ensure that guest rooms, public areas, common facilities, and back-of-house areas are maintained in a clean, safe, orderly, and service-ready condition. The role involves manpower supervision, quality inspection, inventory control, coordination with other departments, and ensuring compliance with company standards, hygiene requirements, and workplace safety procedures.
- Supervise daily housekeeping operations
- Inspect cleanliness and quality standards(Check guest rooms, public areas, and facilities after cleaning to ensure cleanliness, tidiness, and proper set-up. Ensure all rooms are released on time and meet required service standards before guest check-in.)
- Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, grooming, work quality, and productivity.
- Monitor and maintain sufficient stock of housekeeping supplies, cleaning chemicals, linen, guest amenities, and equipment.
- Respond to housekeeping-related guest requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist in resolving guest complaints relating to room cleanliness, missing items, defects, or service issues.
- Ensure staff follow safe work procedures when handling cleaning chemicals, equipment, wet floors, ladders, trolleys, and heavy items.
- Prepare daily room status reports, cleaning checklists, attendance records, maintenance reports, lost and found records, and stock records.
- Support management in implementing housekeeping SOPs and operational improvements
