Electrical Supervisor Duties and Responsibilities
Electrical Supervisors play a pivotal role in ensuring the success and safety of electrical installations and maintenance projects.
They supervise electricians, coordinate operations, manage work schedules, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and electrical codes.
Their duties and responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems in buildings
- Developing and implementing maintenance procedures, and maintaining maintenance records
- Supervising, training, and mentoring electricians and electrical workers
- Ensuring strict compliance with safety procedures and electrical codes
- Planning and scheduling projects and preparing and maintaining project
- Inspecting and testing electrical equipment, components and systems to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair
- Resolving problems and ensuring that work is completed to clients satisfaction
- Ordering electrical supplies and equipment
- Preparing and presenting reports detailing the status of electrical projects and work ordersResponsibilities
- Oversee and manage the electrical team's operations
- Ensure all electrical work meets quality and safety standards
- Plan, schedule, and oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems
- Develop and implement maintenance procedures and manage the emergency electrical services
- Perform regular inspections and troubleshooting to detect faulty wiring or defective parts and arrange for necessary repairs
- Provide training and guidance to the electrical team

- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an electrical supervisor or a similar role in the electrical field
- Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, electrical repairs, components, and safety procedures
- Familiarity with electrical system installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance
- Strong understanding of electrical codes and regulations
- Leadership skills and ability to manage and motivate a team
- Excellent problem-solving skillsGood communication skills
- Professional certification such as a diploma or a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
