Job Responsibilities
- Must control and supervise the Packing and Stuffing teams to ensure work activities are organized and carried out efficiently and safely.
- To plan manpower allocation according to latest shipping instructions.
- To ensure special delivery notes are followed, and verify that packing instructions grade and quantity match the printed labels.
- Assist with daily the Sub-Raw and Plant requests and support NSA project during the Section Chief's absence
- Perform hands-on machine maintenance activities when necessary
- Ensure all personnel wear appropriate and well-maintained Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Verify the accuracy of daily Tally Sheets and Delivery Reports before submission.
- Prepare weekly reports on stock movement and packing quantity.
- Conduct daily and random physical checks to ensure previously prepared jobs/cargoes comply with shipping instructions, including label, grade, quantity, and storage in designated lanes. Verify compliance with any special customer instructions.
- Physically inspect and ensure all non-conforming cargoes are recorded, labeled, and stored in the correct location pending further instructions or processing (rework, scrap, or downgrade).
- Ensure the SAP system is accurate and that delivery notes, Tally Sheets, and delivery orders are correctly posted at all times.
- Write/Update Risk Assessments, Safe Work Procedures, and Environment Aspect and Impact documents.
- Participate in internal and external audits conducted by customers or Sankyu as needed.
- Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned, including overseeing housekeeping, packing operations, Sub-Raw for Plant, and stuffing.
Job Requirements and Expectations
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in machinery maintenance.
- Possession of Certificates in Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering (Nitec or Higher Nitec)
- Excellent in Communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Forklift License or Supervisor Work at Height Certificate is an advantage.
Work Arrangement: 5.5 days per week
Work Location: Jurong Island
Company's Transport Pick up:
- Morning Shift: Jurong East Bus pick up point (beside Venture Drive) at 7am
- Afternoon Shift: JEM pick up point at 2pm
