Job Summary
Will report to site/project manager, able to review the client, vendor, supplier documents and specifications to ensure smooth project/work will be executed in accordance to specification
Responsibilities
- Review client, vendor, and supplier documents and specifications to ensure project execution aligns with technical requirements and standards
- Coordinate with clients to clarify work requirements and organize site activities with subcontractors and workers to meet project timelines
- Collaborate effectively within teams to plan and ensure timely, safe completion of electrical and instrument installation works
- Read and interpret P&ID, SLD, schematic, and flow logic drawings to verify correct installation of electrical/instrument process equipment and systems
- Estimate materials required for electrical and instrument installation works to support accurate procurement and resource planning
- Conduct daily toolbox talks and manage permit to work (PTW) applications to maintain site safety and compliance
- Attend site meetings and prepare daily progress reports to communicate project status and issues to stakeholders
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, mark out P&ID or shop drawings, and installation details for submission and approval by clients or consultants
- Utilize MS Office Suite and MS Project to manage project documentation and scheduling efficiently
- Perform additional tasks and assignments as required to support project objectives and site operations
Required competencies and certifications
- NITEC/ITE/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 3 to 5 years supervisory experience in electrical and/or instrument installation within the Oil & Petrochemical Industry
- Proficient in English communication, both spoken and written
- Willingness to work independently and demonstrate self-drive in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work in Jurong area
