To supervise and coordinate the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical and electrical systems associated with construction heavy equipment, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant project execution.
Job Description:
- Supervise and perform diagnosis, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and diesel engine systems of construction heavy equipment.
- Investigate equipment breakdowns and identify root causes of failures.
- Coordinate emergency repairs to minimize equipment downtime and operational disruptions.
- Conduct fault-finding using diagnostic tools, testing equipment, and technical manuals.
- Inspect defective components and determine repair or replacement requirements.
- Monitor repair quality and ensure equipment is restored to safe operating condition.
- Verify completion of repairs through testing, commissioning, and performance checks.
- Maintain accurate records of breakdowns, troubleshooting activities, repairs, and spare parts usage.
- Liaise with equipment manufacturers, suppliers, and service providers for technical support when required.
- Recommend improvements to maintenance procedures to enhance equipment reliability and performance.
Requirements:
- Diploma, NITEC/Higher NITEC, Technical Certificate, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Heavy Equipment Maintenance, or a related discipline.
- Relevant trade certifications in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or diesel engine systems are an advantage.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of construction heavy equipment.
