. Manage marine operations to ensure safe and efficient cargo carriage in compliance with charter party terms.
. Advise and assist Masters in preparation for terminal inspections and complex tank cleaning operations.
. Monitor vessel progress, weather routing, and bunker consumption to optimize voyage performance.
. Research and review port information for sensitive or new locations and communicate critical data to vessels.
. Evaluate and negotiate with agents for the approval of proforma disbursements and port costs.
. Review load and discharge plans for both spot and time-chartered vessels to ensure operational readiness.
. Liaise with the chartering desk to provide accurate data for questionnaires, loadable quantities, and bunker requirements.
. Conduct operations briefings for Senior Officers and address gaps identified in NCRs or inspections.
. Lead, coach, and motivate Senior Executives and Executives within the operations department.
. Coordinate health, safety, and environmental initiatives in alignment with SQV protocols.
. Certificate of Competency (Master Class 1).
. Minimum of 6 months command experience on relevant vessel types.
. Alternatively, 3 years of experience as Chief Mate on relevant tankers or 2 years of shore-based experience as a Superintendent.
. Proven ability to conduct incident investigations and generate detailed reports.
. Strong expertise in SIRE and navigation audits.
. Advanced negotiation skills for managing agency and port disbursements.
. Deep knowledge of international marine industry rules, terminal regulations, and port requirements.
. Experience in LPG, LNG or Ethane is highly advantageous.
