Job Description

The Role

We are looking for a technically-minded, proactive Studio Technician to join our Virtual Production team. This role is the backbone of our studio operations, ensuring that our high-end VP infrastructureincluding LED walls, camera tracking systems, and Unreal Engine workflowsis calibrated and ready for world-class content creation.

You will bridge the gap between traditional film production and cutting-edge technology, supporting visiting crews and ensuring every shoot runs seamlessly from setup to data wrap.

Key Responsibilities

Studio & Equipment Management

  • Operational Excellence: Maintain the studio space in peak condition and act as the primary point of contact for visiting production teams.
  • Inventory Control: Manage equipment check-ins/outs, ensure all gear is accounted for, and coordinate with vendors for repairs and routine maintenance.
  • VP Specialization: Lead the physical setup, calibration, and operation of Virtual Production hardware (LED volumes, trackers, and servers).

On-Set Production Support

  • Technical Setup: Deploy and configure cameras, monitors, wireless transmitters, and tracking sensors.
  • Calibration: Perform precise calibration of VP infrastructure, including camera trackers, LED wall color profiles, and spatial alignment.
  • Grip & Camera Assist: Provide hands-on support as a camera assistant or grip when required by the production scale.
  • Data Management: Oversee the integrity of digital assets, including media offloading, meticulous labeling, and preparing handovers for clients or archival backups.

Requirements

Essential

  • Mobility: Ability and willingness to travel between our Singapore and Malaysia studio locations as dictated by production schedules.
  • Physical Readiness: Ability to lift, carry, and handle heavy production equipment safely.
  • Soft Skills: Strong organizational habits and the ability to communicate clearly under the pressure of a live set.
  • Adaptability: A problem-solver mindset capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

  • Industry Experience: Prior experience in film, broadcast, or video production environments.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with professional camera systems (ARRI, RED, Sony), lighting rigs, and signal flow.
  • VP Interest: A baseline understanding ofor a strong desire to learnUnreal Engine workflows and LED Volume operations.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, DaVinci Resolve, or related post-production tools.
  • Safety: Comfortable working at heights (occasional only)
