Student Welfare Officer
Job scope:
Student Welfare and Support
- Immediate support (buddy) for students in distress
- Facilitate skills training and peer support programmes
- Support and monitoring of student welfare needs and progress
Case Management and Coordination
- Maintain confidential case files and comprehensive documentation
- Support referrals to community resources and specialist services
- Support in generating / preparing reports
Prevention and Early Intervention
- Facilitate in implementation of school wide programmes (mental health awareness, anti-bullying, resilience)
- Support in preparation of resource materials
Family and Community Engagement
- Provide parent support
- Assist in connecting families with appropriate community resources
Administrative Duties
- Provide support for school events such as planning for key events for the school
- Assist in preparing statistical reports on student welfare trends
- Attend and contribute in team discussions meetings and professional development
- Any other task assigned by the school leaders
Requirements:
- Preferably a Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident.
- Minimally has a GCE O Level or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of working experience in schools or any education settings as educators or teaching support staff.
- At least 2 year experience in supporting students with additional needs or special educational requirements.
- Able to monitor and manage students in completing their tasks on hand.
- Has good communication skills and can work well with students and parents.
- Must be strong in administrative tasks like keeping records and filing.
Working hours:
Monday - Thursday: 7am to 4.30pm
Friday: 7am to 4.30pm
(inclusive of 1hr lunch break)
