Student Management - Youth Worker (Loyang)
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with school leaders, teachers, and student management personnel to support student well-being and behavioural development.
- Identify and support a targeted group of students through individual and small group sessions, intervention programmes, and engagement strategies to enhance connectedness to school and build resilience.
- Provide counselling and mentoring support, using counselling skills and techniques to encourage discussions of emotions and experiences, equip students with coping strategies, and act as a positive role model.
- Help identify underlying issues such as social or emotional disadvantages, discrimination, poverty, or trauma to inform accurate planning of intervention measures.
- Discipline and Investigation Support and mediation and conflict resolution sessions - Conduct fact-finding and incident investigations, including reviewing CCTV footage, conducting student interviews, recording statements, and supporting mediation and conflict resolution sessions.
- Perform home visits where necessary.
Qualification:
1) A diplomaor a professional qualification in related fields (for instance Youth Work orPsychology, or Early Intervention Teaching, or Counselling, Education, orBehavioral Science or Social Services or equivalent).
2) ThePersonnel who have previously worked in enforcement agencies, or Family ServiceCentres (FSC), or residential homes for girls, boys, or children, or similaragencies will be given preference consideration.
Contract Period: From August 2026 to October 2026. (Option Period : Jan 2027 to October2027)
Work Timing:
. Monday & Wednesday, 2.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m.
. Tuesday & Thursday 12.00 p.m. to 3.00 p.m
. Friday 11.30a.m. to 2.30 p.m.
. Service not required on Saturdays,Sundays and gazetted public holidays
