Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Investigation of Student Misconduct: Fairly and thoroughly investigate student misconduct cases by conducting structured interviews with accused students, victims, and witnesses.
  • Evidence Gathering: Review CCTV footage, gather written statements, and build objective chronological timelines of incidents.
  • Reporting & Compliance: Document facts accurately to compile clear, concise investigation reports for the discipline committee according to school and MOE policies.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate with external agencies such as the Singapore Police Force, Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF), or Family Service Centres when cases require escalation.
  • Rehabilitation & Support: Facilitate regular check-ins and structured guidance programs for students under disciplinary review.
  • Parental Engagement: Partner actively with parents or guardians to provide routine progress updates and organize joint intervention meetings.
  • Preventive Surveillance: Perform routine premises walkabouts inside the school and in the immediate neighboring district to deter and detect rule violations, smoking, or vaping.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM (including a 1-hour lunch break).
  • Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (including a 1-hour lunch break).
  • Note: Service is strictly not required on Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted public holidays.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Minimum of a Diploma from a local polytechnic or an equivalent tertiary institution.
  • Youth Work Experience: Minimum 2 years of professional experience handling or mentoring youth within a school, social service, law enforcement, or community management setting.
  • Case Investigation Experience: Minimum 2 years of practical experience conducting formal fact-finding investigations or professional case management.
  • Key Skills: Exceptional interpersonal resolution skills, strong dispute de-escalation capabilities, excellent statement-taking, and report-writing skills.
  • Confidentiality: Absolute commitment to protecting student records and case histories.
