Job Summary
You will manage a small class of 10 to 15 primary school students, supporting their learning and well-being while maintaining a safe and orderly environment. Training will be provided, making this a great opportunity to start or explore a career working with young people.
Responsibilities
- Supervise students completing school homework and test their spelling to support academic progress
- Facilitate lunch and tea breaks to ensure students are well-nourished and cared for during the day
- Manage classroom discipline by applying consistent and fair behavior guidelines to maintain a positive learning environment
- Monitor and ensure the safety of students at all times within the centre and during activities
- Maintain cleanliness of the centre to provide a healthy and welcoming space for students
- Escort students safely from one nearby Primary School, located within a 7-minute walk, to the centre
Required competencies and certifications
- Minimum Nitec or Higher Nitec Level qualification
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Some classroom experience is preferred but not required
- Fresh Graduates, Part-Timers, and interested applicants are welcome to apply
Other Information
Working hours:
- Monday to Friday on school days from 1:00 pm to 6:00-7:00 pm
- Monday to Friday on school holidays from 8:00 am to 6:00-7:00 pm
- No work on weekends or public holidays
Contract and Salary:
- Able to commit for at least 9 to 12 months
- Salary range: $1400.00 - $1800.00 per month (After Employer CPF)
Benefits for 1-year contract if selected:
- Paid medical claims up to 5 times, with a maximum of $50 per receipt
- Paid 5 days annual leave during school days only
- Paid 5 days centre closure days during the last week of December
