Position Overview:

CCAMT is seeking a warm, enthusiastic, organized, and service-oriented individual to join our team as a Student Affairs Executive & English Lecturer.

The successful candidate will support students throughout their academic journey, including admissions, student administration, documentation, and general student support. As one of the key points of contact for applicants and students, the candidate should be approachable, attentive, and committed to providing a positive student experience.

In addition to student affairs and administrative responsibilities, the candidate will be required to teach English to both full-time and part-time students. The ideal candidate should be passionate about language education and able to adapt teaching methods and learning materials to meet the needs of students with different learning backgrounds and abilities.

This position is ideal for an individual who enjoys working with students, has strong organizational and communication skills, and is passionate about both education and student development. The candidate should be comfortable balancing teaching responsibilities with administrative duties and contributing to a supportive and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Student Affairs & Administrative Support:

  • Process student applications and documentation

  • Maintain accurate student records and database entries

  • Handle general inquiries via email, and other digital platforms

  • Assist with student orientation programs

  • Arrange student consultations and support services

  • Handle student feedback and complaints

  • Support administrative tasks related to student services

Student Services & Engagement:

  • Provide information about admission procedures

  • Assist students and parents with general academic and administrative enquiries

  • Support student documentation requirements

  • Coordinate with academic, administration and other departments on student matters

  • Support student events, activities, clubs, orientation and graduation ceremonies

  • Assist with Open Days and other College events

Teaching and Learning:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in English language and related subjects.

  • Apply effective pedagogical strategies to facilitate student learning.

  • Design and conduct assessments, providing timely and constructive feedback to support student growth.

  • Monitor student attendance and academic progress

  • Maintain accurate teaching and assessment records

  • Create a safe, inclusive and engaging classroom environment

  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet different learning needs and abilities

  • Provide academic guidance and support to students where appropriate

Curriculum Development and Collaborative Teaching:

  • Contribute to course content development, ensuring it meets the needs of a diverse student body.

  • Work closely with academic staff to maintain continuity and consistency in curriculum delivery.

  • Support the review and improvement of teaching, learning and assessment practices

  • Stay updated on developments in English language education and teaching methodologies

Pastoral Care and Student Welfare:

  • Provide support for students academic, emotional and social development.

  • Maintain high standards of discipline among students, prioritizing their health, safety, and well-being.

Professional Growth and Collaboration:

  • Participate in department meetings, school-wide training events, and relevant workshops.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to review and enhance curriculum, pedagogy, and assessment methods.

  • Engage in marketing and liaison activities, including Open Days and stakeholder events.

  • Undertake additional reasonable tasks as assigned by College.

Qualifications:

. Bachelor's degree in TESL, English Language, Education or a closely related field

. Relevant experience in teaching ESL/EFL or at the higher education level.

. Proven skills in developing engaging language learning materials and effective assessments.

. Strong verbal and written communication skills

. Good interpersonal and student engagement skills

. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)

. Strong attention to detail

. Basic database and administrative skills

. Customer service orientation

. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural environment

Desired Skills:

. In-depth understanding of contemporary language teaching methodologies and current educational trends.

. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on effectiveness in multicultural educational settings.

. Strong organizational skills, including the ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks and priorities.

. Previous experience teaching English at a tertiary level.

. Active engagement in interdisciplinary collaborations or workshops related to language education and training.
