Student Admission and Support Staff (Executive) or Admissions Counsellor cum Admin Executive

Job summary:

You play a pivotal role in facilitating the admission process and providing essential support to prospective students and their families. This position combines administrative responsibilities with student advising to ensure a seamless and positive experience for all applicants.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Admissions Guidance: Provide comprehensive information about the institution's programs, admission requirements, and application procedures to prospective students and their families.
  2. Application Processing: Receive, review, and process student applications accurately and efficiently. Ensure all necessary documentation is complete.
  3. Admissions Interviews: Conduct interviews or informational sessions with prospective students, both in person and through virtual platforms, to assess their suitability for admission and address their questions or concerns.
  4. Admission Decisions: Participate in the evaluation of student applications and make admission recommendations based on established criteria.
  5. Support Services: Offer guidance and support to admitted students regarding registration, school bus transportation communication liaison, uniforms and books merchandise sales, and other related admin matters. Assist students and parents on day to day adhoc requests.
  6. Outreach and Student Recruitment: Participate in recruitment events, open houses, college fairs, and other activities aimed at attracting potential students to the institution.
  7. Data Management: Maintain accurate records of student interactions, application status, student attendance filing, and admission decisions using relevant software and databases.
  8. Compliance: Ensure that all admission processes comply with institutional policies and relevant regulations including processing of student visas and filing FPS monthly, annual return.
  9. Customer Service: You will be assigned as reception desk guide. Provide excellent customer service to new prospective parents and their families, addressing existing parents inquiries promptly and professionally.

Qualifications:

  • Must have at least 2 years of experience in dealing school admissions and student recruitment in any Singapore international schools.
  • Bachelor's degree in any field. Master's degree can be a preferred choice.
  • Previous experience in admissions, student services, or a related role is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using office software and database systems.
  • Knowledge of admission processes and educational systems is a plus.
  • Able to speak other languages for majority parent community like Hindi or Tamil is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
