Job purpose:
We are seeking a proactive and highly skilled ..Structured Credit Trader.. at the Associate to Assistant Vice President (AVP) level to join our team in Singapore. The successful candidate will focus on the trading, booking, pricing and risk management of secured financing transactions, loans and structured derivatives products for the benefits of internal and external clients along with the development of innovative investment products. The role will collaborate closely with stakeholders including Structuring, Sales, Risk Management, Finance and Operations etc.
Structured Solutions Trading: engages in the full suite of credit related products and providing asset and liability management solutions to internal or external clients (yield enhancement solutions, risk management strategies, financing structures as well as delivering balance sheet optimization).
The candidate will also have the opportunity to contribute towards the growth of a credit investment book focused on Asian fixed income investments.
Key activities:
- Work with the senior trades to price, execute and manage secured financing transactions across structured credit markets, ensuring adherence to risk management guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Run daily tasks including risk management, P&L reporting and analysis.
- Handle trade bookings in a timely and accurate manner and contribute to the development of booking methodologies for new products.
- Execute initial and on-going hedges transactions covering all risks aspects including credit, rates and liquidity.
- Analyse market trends and opportunities within structured credit to identify investment strategies and trading solutions.
- Work with internal teams including sales, structuring, risk management, and research sales to develop and enhance investment products, utilizing structured credit instruments to meet client needs and market demands.
- Utilize quantitative and financial modelling techniques to support structured credit trading activities and product development.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and market developments affecting structured credit and secured financing transactions.
- Working in conjunction with the Investment Strategies team, assist in the identification, purchase and hedging of potential investment assets and develop investments strategies for the EM Asian credit Investment book.
Formal education:
- University degree in a numerate discipline such as Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science or Physics is preferred but not mandatory
Specialist knowledge (work experience, further qualification):
- Experience in structured credit trading or related roles, with expertise in secured financing transactions and / or structured credit products.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with experience in financial modelling and the use of trading tools.
- Good understanding of structured credit markets and financial instruments including bonds, loans, repos, rates and credit derivatives
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and clients.
- Fluent in English as the main working language of the office.
- Highly detail-oriented, organized, and able to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
