Responsibilities:
- Undertake detailed technical and structural designs, prepare calculation reports and shop drawings, instruct drafters and check/amend fabrication drawings.
- Review and improve design considerations and assumptions based on project requirements on competitive and economical approaches.
- Liaise and coordinate with operation teams, clients, consultants and/or authorities on technical issues and to ensure design intents are met.
- Provide technical engineering advice to comply with Singapore design standards, codes, specifications and authorities regulations.
- Propose value engineering, design improvement, optimization and innovation to improve operation efficiency and maximize construction profit.
- Follow up with projects in charged closely, visit factory and site to provide technical advices and supports to operation team.
- Other ad hoc job assigned by Technical Manager or the Company.
Requirements:
- Possess Bachelor Degree in Civil and/ or Structural Engineering that is recognised by the Professional Engineers Board of Singapore.
- Preferably to have 2 to 5 years experience in steel structure design/ earth retaining stabilizing structures design or equivalent.
- Preferably to be conversant with Excel, Tekla Tedds and Staad.pro, etc as work required.
- He/ she may need to visit sites as and when the situation requires.
