Structural Steel Engineer

• Develop and review structural designs and drawings for steel structures, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Plan and oversee ongoing site activities ensuring alignment with project plans
• Coordinate with project managers, and other engineers to integrate steel structure designs into overall project plans.
• Conduct structural analysis to ensure the integrity and safety of the steel elements.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors and relevant authorities to coordinate project requirements
• Oversee the fabrication and installation of steel structures, ensuring quality control and adherence to project timelines.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors and relevant authorities to coordinate project requirements
• Manage and supervise the installation of structural steel components
• Inspect construction sites to monitor progress and ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
• Collaborate with the procurement team to source materials and manage inventory levels for steel structure components.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the construction process
• Prepare technical reports, documentation, and project proposals as required.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the construction industry
• Good knowledge of construction methods and regulatory requirements in structural works
