Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the engineering team in the design and development of steel structural systems and components.
Perform and review structural analysis and design of steel structures in accordance with Eurocode and relevant international standards.
Utilize engineering software such as STAAD for structural analysis and CAD tools for preparation and review of engineering drawings.
Oversee the preparation, review, and approval of structural calculations, design reports, and fabrication drawings.
Coordinate closely with steel fabrication teams to ensure design feasibility, manufacturability, and compliance with fabrication requirements.
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to engineers and draftsmen.
Manage engineering schedules, deliverables, and resource allocation to meet project timelines.
Liaise with clients, consultants, and project teams to resolve technical issues and ensure alignment with project requirements.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, engineering standards, and company procedures.
Support tendering and proposal preparation by providing technical inputs and preliminary engineering assessments.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of experience in structural engineering with significant exposure to steel structure design.
Strong knowledge and practical experience in Eurocode design standards.
Proficient in structural analysis software such as STAAD.
Skilled in CAD software for engineering drawings and coordination.
Solid understanding of steel fabrication processes, connection detailing, and constructability considerations.
Proven experience in engineering management, including leading teams and coordinating multidisciplinary projects.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
