Job Summary:
The Structural Engineer will support the design, analysis, and execution of structural engineering works for onshore and offshore projects. The role involves preparing calculations, drawings, and technical documentation while ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and applicable codes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform structural analysis and design calculations for steel and/or concrete structures.
- Assist in developing structural deliverables including drawings, reports, and design documentation.
- Support modelling and analysis using engineering software (e.g., STAAD, SACS, ETABS, ANSYS).
- Review drawings and coordinate with drafting teams to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams (civil, mechanical, piping, E&I) to resolve design interfaces.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant codes and standards (e.g., Eurocode, AISC, API, ISO).
- Assist in technical evaluations, site queries, and engineering problem-solving.
- Participate in design reviews, safety studies, and project meetings.
- Support site, fabrication, or construction activities when required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related discipline.
- 0-5 years of relevant experience in structural engineering (fresh graduates are welcome to apply).
- Basic knowledge of structural analysis and design principles.
- Familiarity with engineering software (e.g., STAAD, ETABS, SACS, ANSYS) is an advantage.
- Good understanding of international design codes and standards.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Preferred:
- Postgraduate qualification (Master's/PhD) in Structural Engineering will be considered an added advantage where relevant to the role.
- Internship or project experience in oil & gas, offshore, or infrastructure projects.
- Exposure to 3D modelling tools (e.g., SmartPlant 3D, Tekla).
