Job Description

Perform Structural Design Calculations and Analysis using governing codes and standards, engineering formulas, skill and experience
Contribute in developing new Engineering Concepts & Design Methodologies
Ensure work is in compliance to applicable codes, accepted engineering practices and Company's standards
Interpret fabrication drawings, understand material plans and fabrication processes to facilitate costing
Support Operations including timely preparation of Technical Information and Engineering drawings for submission and fabrication
Preparation and/or modification of Engineering calculations/ drawings as per project specifications and Engineering proposals
Up keep Engineering filing system including maintenance of drawings and supports documentation control
Work as a team with Costing and Operations departments
Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time
Bachelor/Master degree in Civil/ Structural Engineering from a reputable institution
More than 3 years design and site experience in Structural Steel works
Knowledge of structural design, engineering techniques, principles and fundamentals
Familiar with softwares including AutoCAD, STAAD PRO, ETABS, PLAXIS, SAP2000, SAFE, TEDDS and Prokon.
Conversant in Microsoft Office applications especially MS Excel
Working experience of international codes viz. BS, AASHTO, European Codes etc. would be an advantage
Able to interpret information such as client requirements, plans and designs
Willing to work in a deadline driven environment
Excellent spoken and written communication skills
Show enthusiasm and attention to detail
Team player with good interpersonal skills
