Job Description

This role reports into the Head of Strategy, as part of the Strategy, Marketing, and Partnerships team. Strategy at Ensign possesses a broad mandate: from organisational strategy, to corporate development, to strategic partnerships with the government and our shareholders. This is a rare opportunity for exposure across a variety of workstreams and to deliver impact for an organisation in its next stage of growth.

We are looking for an independent operator who thrives on the edge. You are unfazed in the face of new and ambiguous problems – you break them down and try different ways to achieve desired outcomes. You enjoy pivoting between the big picture and the operational details, and the satisfaction of building things from 0 to 1. Your day-to-day never looks quite the same, and you can scale up significantly as needed during critical periods. You build trust with key stakeholders from Day 1, showing up with credible presence and a point of view. Stakeholder engagement is your bread and butter, and your forte. Most importantly: you are deeply curious about technology, people, and the organisation, which gives you an eye for opportunities to add value.

  • Drive stakeholder engagement and alignment, both internal and external, including government agencies, shareholders and Ensign executives
  • Translate strategy into execution, supporting the implementation and follow-through of key initiatives
  • Actively contribute perspectives and thoughtful questions, bringing forward ideas to help shape strategic direction and decision making
  • Performing other relevant duties as assigned

Key qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with more than 5 years of experience
  • Problem-solving: ability to think in a structured way, interpret data, develop insights
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English

  • Comfort with ambiguity, and ability to navigate and pivot as needed
  • Quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel, and relevant AI tools
  • Demonstrated ownership mindset, with the ability to build initiatives from 0 to 1 and drive them through to completion
